Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, Chhattisgarh government has decided to constitute a special force named Bastar Fighters with the objective of ensuring positive contribution in the area including employment opportunities to the local youth and youth in the forest areas of Bastar division for peace, security and development. Approval for creation of posts was accorded. In these approved new posts, a total of 2100 posts of 300-300 Bastar Fighter constables were sanctioned in Bastar, Dantewada, Kanker, Bijapur, Narayanpur, Sukma and Kondagaon districts. After completing the related process, the selection list and waiting list of 2100 Bastar fighters have been released.
There was tremendous enthusiasm among the youth of Bastar division for the Bastar Fighters constable recruitment process. Under this, written examination of 50 marks on 17 July 2022 in Kanker, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Bastar, Dantewada, Bijapur and Sukma district headquarters of Bastar division for 5405 candidates found qualified in physical efficiency test (100 marks) in the month of May-June. Done. A total of 5330 candidates of the division had appeared in this written examination.
A total of 3969 candidates in Bastar division were interviewed for 20 marks in all the district headquarters concerned from August 01 to August 10, 2022, on the basis of marks (in order of merit) in physical efficiency test and written examination for the post of Bastar Fighter constable. After completing all the above process, the selection and waiting list of the candidates for the post of Bastar Fighter constable has been issued on 15 August 2022.
It is noteworthy that while being exposed to the inner forest area, the force members had to face many practical difficulties and challenges due to lack of knowledge of the local dialect. In the Bastar Fighter Constable Recruitment, along with the local recruitment of the district, as well as the selection of candidates knowledgeable in the dialect of the area, along with removing the language challenge, the relationship between the local public and the police will be further strengthened.
