Authorization letter of 12,500 hectare forest area handed over to Achanakmar Tiger Reserve and Sitanadi Udanti Tiger Reserve
Achanakmar Tiger Reserve and Sitanadi Udanti Tiger Reserve handed over the rights of 12,500 hectares of forest area. On the occasion of World Tribal Day, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel took a big initiative in the program organized at the Chief Minister's residence today. Core and buffer areas in two big tiger reserves of the state. Under the Recognition of Forest Rights Act 2006, community forest resource rights letters were given to 10 gram sabhas. This includes 5 gram sabhas of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve and 5 gram sabhas of Sitanadi Udanti area.
The powers of 5 Gram Sabhas of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve have been given. It is the area of Mungeli district, out of which 4 villages are core and 1 village is buffer area, in which 1384.056 hectares to Mahamai Gram Sabha, 1191.6 hectares to Babotola Gram Sabha, 1663 hectares to Bamhani Gram Sabha, 3240 hectares to Katami Gram Sabha and Manzoorha. Community forest resource rights have been provided to the Gram Sabha on 661.74 hectares.
Anand Ekka, Phool Singh Baiga, Titru Singh Maravi, Man Singh Baiga, Dilharan Tekam, Aghan Singh Maravi, Mangal Singh Ekka, Santosh Maravi, Naval Prajapati and Firutu Ram Baiga from Achanakmar Tiger Reserve received this authorization letter from the Chief Minister and offered honey. He expressed his gratitude towards them.
With this, for the first time in the state, in Sitanadi Udanti Tiger Reserve, community forest resource rights have been jointly recognized in three gram sabhas of Sitanadi Tiger Reserve, Likhma, Baniyadih, Mainpur in 1811.53 hectares in Dhamtari district. It is noteworthy that since many years, their traditional boundaries are the same, but due to the increase in population, they were divided into three villages, so under the Recognition of Forest Rights Act 2006, they together took the responsibility of conservation, promotion, preservation and management of forest resources. Has decided.

Manoj Sakshi, Dular Singh Samarath, Naresh Kumar Kashyap and Ramesh Kumar Netam, who came from Sitanadi, thanked the Chief Minister for validating the authorization letter by garlanding them with Mahua.
The Chief Minister has also given two Community Forest Resource Rights letters from the buffer area of the Gariaband district which falls in the Udanti area part of the Tiger Reserve, in which the former Prime Minister Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi ji's lap village Akhxghat is prominent. Contains authorization letter on 1321.052 hectares. The Chief Minister of 1254.57 hectares also supplied forest resource authorization letter to Gram Sabha Kathwa. The President of Kamar Samaj, Bansingh Sori and Dhanmoti Sori, Damodar Markam and Nohar Singh Sori thanked the Chief Minister for the work done for the special backward tribes and for the decision to provide government jobs to the youth of the specially protected tribes.
It is worth mentioning that on the occasion of World Tribal Day, by giving community forest resource rights to an area of 12,527.548 hectares, the Gram Sabhas of the Tiger Reserve were empowered to protect, conserve, promote and manage their forest areas.
